Purpose

The Kicker is a student publication located at Indiana University and staffed entirely by its students. We exist to report on the everyday life, culture, and people of the University. 

We are not a part of the University (see footer for clarification).

The Kicker is an explicitly apolitical publication. We do not publish content relating to politics.

Operations

The Kicker publishes eight issues a year, four per academic semester.

We publish on the first Monday of each month, excepting April, in which we publish on April Fool's Day, for the following months:

September, October, November, December, February, March, April, May.

Business

We are incorporated as a nonprofit "The Kicker Company" in the state of Indiana.

The Kicker obtains revenue from advertisement space purchased by local businesses and subscriptions and possibly merchandise in the future. 

All staff members work on a volunteer basis. They receive no financial compensation or benefits.

Staff

The Kicker runs on a small volunteer team throughout the duration of the school year. 

The faculty sponsor is Andrew Parker, PhD.
